The Royal Life Guards is a Danish infantry regiment founded in 1658 by King Frederik III. The regiment stands watch over the Danish royal family at Amalienborg Palace in Copenhagen and at other royal palaces and castles around Denmark on occasion.
The red ceremonial uniform is worn on special state occasions and always with its characteristic black bearskin headdress.
This royal guard is crafted in FSC® certified beech and oak wood and hand painted by skillful craftsmen with an eye for detail. The guard carries an oak wood M1 Garand rifle and a sewn cotton fabric flag of Denmark.
Designed by Kristian Jakobsen.
